SAMI Foundation is a community-based initiative in Namere Community, Kampala District, supporting single mothers, children with special needs, and vulnerable families through livelihood skills, inclusive education support, caregiver guidance, savings groups, health awareness, and practical pathways to stability.
Sarah Mirembe Namusisi raised her children as a single mother and supported them until they completed university. Her story of sacrifice, determination, and love became the foundation for serving other single mothers facing similar challenges.
Through personal toil, support from well-wishers, occasional special offers, and informal community help, Sarah has kept the initiative alive. SAMI Foundation exists to strengthen this work and create a more stable support system for mothers, especially those raising children with special needs or facing serious family hardship.
